Neil grew up in Reading before leaving home to study at Gonville and Caius College,
Cambridge where he read medicine and completed a BA in developmental &
neurobiology.
He continued at the Cambridge University Clinical Schoool at Addenbrookes
Hospital to acheive his medical and surgical degrees before going on to his house
jobs.
After a year in New Zealand and a year in London he settled in Southampton to
pass his MRCP with the Royal College of Physicians in London and acheive a wide
base of experience across medical specialities as well as the emergency
department.
He wasn't certain he wanted to continue with specialist training so chose to work
in Jersey as a medical and renal registrar for a year before making the decision to
change to General Practice - a decision he hasn't regretted and wishes he had
made sooner!
Neil completed his GP training during which he acheived a distinction in the
MRCGP as well as completing his Diploma in Immediate Care with the Royal College
of Surgeons.
He has been working mostly as a locum since then although he was a partner for 2
years in Worthing and left that recently. Neil has recently completed his degree in
Computing and ICT.
He has recently supervised two nurse practitioners for their prescribing modules
and is a regular and popular supervisor for GP Speciality Trainees for Out-Of-
Hours.
